Embedded below ground in Minato Mirai 21 are heat-supply facilities owned and managed by MM21 DHC. These include dedicated service tunnels, heat-supply conduits, auxiliary equipment and cables.
When road excavation work is scheduled for nearby locations, to prevent such work from impacting its heat-supply facilities, MM21 DHC asks the parties involved to provide information and consult with it about the project, based on the Guidelines on Measures to Prevent Public Accidents from Construction Projects published by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT).
