MM21 DHC supplies heating and cooling to Minato Mirai 21 Central District from two plants: Center Plant, which began operations in 1989, and No. 2 Plant, which started up in 1997.
Development in the district is driving rising demand for thermal energy. To meet this demand, both plants are expanding and upgrading their heating and cooling equipment, further improving plant efficiency and ensuring stable supplies. The plants are connected to each other by piping, to ensure efficient operation of heating and cooling equipment, reduce personnel requirements and secure backup functions.
