Stable Supply Even in Emergencies

MM21 DHC has established a business continuity plan (BCP) aimed at ensuring continuous supply of a certain amount of heating and cooling to key facilities in the event of infrastructure shutdown from a disaster or accident.

If a power failure occurs, a backup generator (1.6 MW diesel engine) and gas cogeneration system (2 MW gas engine) installed in 2019 will be used to power a furnace-type fire-tube boiler and absorption chiller to maintain the supply of heating and cooling.

In the event that gas supply to the plants is interrupted, heating and cooling supply will be maintained by using kerosene stored in a 150 kL emergency oil tank to run the backup generator, which will power the furnace-type fire-tube boiler and absorption chiller. Disaster response drills are held daily to ensure stable 24/7 supply.
