Decarbonization-related Services

Environmental-value-added Heating and Cooling

MM21 DHC began offering Environmental-value-added Heating and Cooling in fiscal 2025 to provide heating and cooling with net-zero CO2 emissions.*

The heating and cooling that we supply is combined with environmental value such as certificates and credits to enable us to offer net-zero service.

Customers can reduce the carbon emissions associated with their use of heating and cooling simply by using this service.

*Heating and cooling with net-zero CO2 emissions” here means heating and cooling with an adjusted CO2 emissions coefficient of zero in the Greenhouse Gas Accounting, Reporting, and Publication System, which is based on the Act on Promotion of Global Warming Countermeasures.

Carbon Offset Service

MM21 DHC has been offering a heating-and-cooling carbon offset service since fiscal 2024.

Carbon offsetting is a mechanism by which businesses and other organizations can offset the carbon emissions of their activities by purchasing credits in the form of  environmental value created by the reduction or absorption of CO2 through actions such as generating electricity and heat with renewable energy or preserving forests.

Our carbon offset service contributes to customers’ decarbonization efforts with one-stop support ranging from purchase of credits to handling of offset procedures.

Through this service, the Minato Mirai 21 Central District was able to reduce its CO2 emissions in fiscal 2024 by about 18,000 tonnes—equivalent to some 20% of its heating and cooling energy-related emissions.

In tandem with the launch of the Environmental-value-added Heating and Cooling in 2025, we started offering the carbon offset service for specific building areas, conferences, and other events.
